River rafting on the Kicking Horse is a blast. The wildest conditions occur from May into late summer, when glacial melt water roars through dramatic rock-walled canyons towards the Columbia River Valley at Golden. Seven rafting companies operate on this Canadian Heritage River, each with certified and experienced guides running rafts for four to six people. Be prepared to paddle, and anticipate getting wet as you navigate this epic class III and IV whitewater. Along the way, enjoy the scenery and watch for wildlife and the CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway) trains that share this spectacular valley. Get pick up after your white water adventure by helicopter and whisked to the top of Kicking Horse resort for lunch or dinner.
